2010 Charge Schedule
Our standard scale is basic fee + meals + shuttle.
You can roughly calculate charge for your Mississippi River Adventure using this formula and the following table.
Basic fee includes canoes, paddles, lifejackets and all necessary river gear, first aid kits & emergency gear. Meals are optional. We can do all the food prep, campfire cooking, provide cookware & eatware & cleanup, or you can bring your own. Shuttle covers transportation of canoes & gear plus our vehicles & drivers for drop-off and pickup. Kayak rental $45/day. Tents & sleeping bag rental $25 + $5/day.

Shuttle is calculated from the odometer, number of vehicles necessary, and driver’s fee, round trip from Quapaw Canoe Company headquarters in downtown Clarksdale. Typically paddlers meet here, park their cars, and we do all the shuttling. As such, mileage is normally calculated round trip from Clarksdale. For excursions above Memphis we hire Memphis drivers and mileage is calculated round trip from Memphis. For excursions below Vicksburg we hire Port Gibson or Natchez drivers and mileage is calculated round trip from there. Here are some of the sections of river we frequent and their related numbers you can use to estimate shuttle fee. Final amount depends on exactly how many miles are driven and how many vehicles + drivers are needed to accommodate each group.
